Hi, Let me share a few tips I follow for saving money. The main problem is that we dont have a record of what we spend daily. Maintain a diary or excel sheet to note down each and every spend even flowers Rs10. By the end of the month make separate columns for each type of spend like entertainment, eating out, spend on junk food s, dress purchases (since we saw a discount on paper). we will find the problem areas easily and try to make changes. Start a recurring deposit for a year for a few hundreds or thousands and u will see a good amount by the year end. Other simple ways is to make grocery purchases at a time rather than going as and when the need arises. Use the washing machine only if there is a full load of clothes. Avoid buying readymade sambar powders or idli or dosa atta. A few hours of work will help save a considerable amount in ur monthly budget. An outing with the family means not only to the mall or theme parks, u can visit a nearby temple and have a quiet evening rathe r than spending thousands else where.
More to come...... Lallu
